Department Access Scope
Layer a department filter on top of module permissions.
Overview
Permissions decide what someone can do; access scope decides whose records they can do it to. With department scope on, a member only sees records belonging to their own department.
What Can Be Scoped
Orders
Only their department’s orders
Invoices
Only their department’s invoices
Services
Only their department’s services
Reports
Report data filtered to their department
Team
Only members in their department
Master switch: department-based permission must be enabled on the role before the individual scopes apply.
Prerequisite: departments are defined under Settings → Categories / Departments, and services carry a category.

Someone seeing nothing at all? Their role has department scope on but they, or the records, have no department set.
