Invoice Reminders
Email clients about unpaid invoices before, on and after the due date.
Remind clients about unpaid invoices by email before, on and after the due date, without lifting a finger.
Overview
This guide explains the Invoice reminders settings and how to turn reminders off for one client or one invoice.
Who Can Access
Team members need Edit Payment Settings to change the schedule and Edit Invoices to switch reminders off on an invoice.
Step-by-Step Guide
Open the settings
Go to Settings → Payment Settings and find Invoice reminders.

Set the schedule
Under Days before the due date, enter how many days before to send the due-soon email; 0 sends none. Switch on On the due date to send one on the day. Under Days after the due date, list the days to send the overdue email, such as 3, 7, 14. Use the usual schedule fills in a common set. Click Save changes.
Turn them off where needed
On an invoice, switch on Don’t send reminders to stop reminders for that invoice. On a client’s profile, the same switch stops reminders for all their invoices. Other invoice emails still go.
Good to Know
- Reminders go only for unpaid invoices with a due date, and stop once the invoice is paid or canceled.
- Subscription invoices get only the reminders after the due date; their own upcoming payment reminder covers the time before.
- Reminders are sent from your own email server, using the three reminder email templates.
