Invoice Actions
Everything you can do to an invoice once it exists.
Overview
An invoice is rarely just created and forgotten. These are the actions that move it through its life — sending it, getting paid, handling a partial payment, and refunding when something goes wrong.
Available Actions
Mark as paid
Settle an invoice manually — bank transfers and cash
Send email
Email it to the client using your paid/unpaid templates
Download PDF
Generate the invoice as a PDF
Pay link
A shareable public link the client can pay from
Partial payment
Record part of the amount against the invoice
Refund
Full or partial, with the amount and a reason recorded
Subscription flag
Marks it as a subscription invoice with a next-payment date
History
Full audit log, with detail on every entry
Pay link: works without a portal login, so it suits one-off clients.
Refunds: the reason is stored on the invoice history — worth filling in properly for your own records.

Tips & Best Practices
Send the pay link rather than a PDF when you want to be paid quickly. A PDF asks the client to go and do something; a link lets them do it there and then.
