Client Status and Assignment

2 min read

The four client statuses, how they change, and assigning team members.

Every client has one of four statuses, and any number of team members assigned to them. Use them to see where each client is and who looks after them.

Overview

This guide explains the statuses, how they change, and how to assign team members.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Choose the starting status

Go to Settings → Account Statuses. Under Initial Client Status, choose Lead or Client and click Save Changes. New clients start there, whether you add them or an order form does.

  2. Change a status

Change Client Status on the client’s Edit page, or select several clients on the Clients page and use Change Status. When a Contact or Lead pays through one of your order forms, they move to Client.

  3. Assign team members

Click the Assigned To box on the client’s row, or in the Details card on their profile, and tick the people. The change is saved straight away. Unassign all clears it.

What Assignment Does

  • It shows who looks after the client, on the Clients page and the profile.
  • You can filter the Clients page by Assigned To.
  • It doesn’t limit who can see the client. Anyone with View Clients sees every client.
