Step-by-Step Guide
Write a message
Type in the box at the bottom. Use bold, italic, underline and lists, or the emoji button. Type @ to mention someone. Enter sends; Shift + Enter starts a new line.

Attach a file
Click the paperclip, or paste an image. One file per message, up to 100 KB: images, PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV or text.
Reply or react
Hover a message for Add reaction, Reply, Edit message, Copy message and Delete message. A reply quotes the original message.
Good to Know
- You can edit or delete your own messages at any time. Deleting removes the message for everyone.
- Edit/Delete Messages lets someone change other people’s messages.
- “Seen” under your last message shows who has read it.
- Only an @mention creates a notification. Other messages show as unread counts.
- In a direct message, the bell and envelope buttons send the other person a notification or an email.
- Loom, Figma and Frame.io links show a preview.
- Files you share also appear on the Files page.
