Order Issues
Orders that will not create, cannot be seen, or seem to have vanished.
Overview
Orders sit at the centre of everything, so a problem here is usually a permission, a status, or a service configuration — rarely the order itself.
Common Symptoms
Service not available when creating an order
Likely cause: The service is on Draft or Archived.
Fix: Switch it to Active under the service’s status setting.
Team member cannot see an order
Likely cause: They only have access to assigned orders, and it is not assigned to them.
Fix: Assign them to the order, or widen their role’s order access.
An order “disappeared”
Likely cause: Its status changed and it moved to a different tab, or a filter is active.
Fix: Hit Clear to reset filters and check the All tab before assuming deletion. Check the order history if unsure.
Client cannot order the same service twice
Likely cause: Multi-order is disabled on that service.
Fix: Enable multi-order on the service.
Due dates are wrong
Likely cause: No deadline is set on the service, so nothing is calculated.
Fix: Set a deadline value and type — Day or Hour — on the service.
Project data is empty
Likely cause: The service has no intake form, or the order was created manually.
Fix: Build an intake form on the service; manually created orders can have quick fields added instead.
Order amount hidden from a member
Likely cause: View order amount is a separate permission and is off for their role.
Fix: Enable it on the role if they genuinely need to see values.
Tips & Best Practices
Check the order history before believing anyone deleted anything. It records every status change and edit, with who did it.
